The Institute of Computer Engineering and Applied Informatics (UPAI) provides educational activities for study programs in Computer Science in Bachelor studies, Information Security and Intelligent Software Systems in Engineering studies, Applied Informatics in Doctoral studies and also subjects in other study programs in the field of computer and communication systems and networks, information security and security of computer systems, architecture of computer systems, design of digital systems, computer graphics and computer vision. It manages and operates several research and teaching laboratories, namely the Network Technology Laboratory, the Embedded Systems Laboratory, the VLSI Circuit Design Laboratory, the Parallel Computer Systems Laboratory (CUSTU-PARLAB), Mobile Computing Laboratory, Grid Computing Laboratory, Computer Vision and Graphics Laboratory, Computer Graphics, Vision and Interaction Laboratory (University Science Park), Siemens Research Laboratory, Eset Research Centre Laboratory.
The mission of the Institute of Computer Engineering and Applied Informatics is to develop and organize educational and scientific research activities in the fields of Computer Engineering and Applied Informatics and related fields of study.
Other activities of UPAI include, for example, teaching in the field of CISCO certification and organizing various events for students (e.g. Collaboration with Practice, Summer Courses for International Students, etc.).
