In addition to higher education, our students also receive the international IET accreditation, which world-famous universities are also proud of. Study programs and subjects are designed and updated so that students are ready for practice. Our graduates are thus the most in demand on the Slovak labor market.
Study at FIIT STU
Studying at the faculty has many advantages. Students can use many of them as part of domestic and foreign projects or other opportunities. Also after studies, when their application on the labor market is really wide and they are increasingly in demand.
Computer science and information technology can be found in every branch of industry. That is why at our faculty we are intensively dedicated to research and development of new innovative solutions.
There are 6 research groups at FIIT, each of which has its own focus and specific area of research. These include software development, blockchain technology research, autonomous transportation and computer vision.
Researchers from the Automotive Innovation Lab (AIL) are currently working on a project to collect data from Slovak roads to complete the state of the infrastructure and prepare for the deployment of autonomous vehicles on the roads.
FIIT STU, in cooperation with IBM, ceremoniously opened the completed premises of the FIIT STU in Bratislava Slovak IT Library for study and free time for students.
Partnerships and cooperation
We consider cooperation with practice to be an important part of the faculty's activities. Our effort in cooperation with industrial partners is to increase the quality of studies and update study programs according to the requirements of the market and practice. They also help us with the innovation of the premises. By involving students and partners from practice in research activities, as well as expert lectures as part of theoretical lectures, we bring students new perspectives on the use of informatics in practice.
